A far away man in London,
A wonderful friend and creator,
(sometimes an imp and a satyr)
Strong and compelling,
So willing to come from the heights,
So filling with candid delights,
And, Gautam, you are you.
But most of all you are.....
India
Is that Hindi, Kelly?
Who is Kelly of the water?
Is Kelly someone's son or daughter?
Poseidon or Neptune,
A barrier reef,
A peer of the piers,
A relief from the tears,
A golden rod from the sheaf?
The name is so Irish,
I think,
Perhaps it's the color
I link
To the emerald isle.
And this tribute I end with a smile.
Thanks :-) It means 'Praise beyond praise'
I grew up on the Subcontinent
My heart is my kingdom,
My love is my wealth,
My soul is my subject,
My army is my health.
I rule over my land,
with passion and sometime sorrow,
I live for today,
And pray for tomorrow.
With charm as my weapon,
And hope as my defense,
Have set out to conquer,
This world so immense
Alone, but not lonely,
Riding across my province,
I am, and will remain,
The exquisite Indian prince
Wow, Gautam, I have missed your creativity, and now you have a soul mate, Kelly of the sub continent.
Delicious poem, my friend.
Great writing everyone, pleasure reading!
From all of us, Thank you, StandUp. You're ain't bad yourself.
