Eternal Mortality by Glowing Gecko
To dream dreams of a mind so pure
the child entranced in this dance of the surreal
From lead eyelids to the oceans of Fantasy
time matters not
All fears and all troubles are weak in mind
they melt like a candle; the fire's prey
deeper and deeper into the unknown he floats
abandoning all his loves and hates
tonight he dines a dreamers dish
but not before his cup of slumber
now he stands in temporal eternity
an immortal god in actual mortality
free to do what his mind allows
free to soar in fenceless skies
right now he lives the lives of passing night
when the clock strikes seven, when the light rolls in...
he will kiss his dreams the kiss of death
morning breathes and once again, he is born into reality's womb
What do you think of the poem, and by the way I am Glowing Gecko, thats my little business that I have and I use that name on designs etc. It is my alias other than FF.
Gimme some comments and post some original poetry so we all can inspire each other....
This one rolls like a restless sea. I enjoy the slanting rhymes and subtleties.
Thanks.....if anyone wants to post some poems, just feel free to do whatever....
