I do not believe they are vowels, and I can provide many examples of words that begins with those sounds. Church, cheat, chow, change, through, thought, then, thou, them, thoth, ****, shout, sheet, shirt, shave......

So farmerman now that I answered your challenge how about mine? can you answer the one i laid out for you? which is the vowel SH CH or TH.. all the other digraphs are bs since you can either separate them into 2 sounds or they replace a sound with a letter or its silent like gh for ghoul which the h is silent. Its called a digraph because its trying to kill the 3 sounds that are hidden from English language to complete the alphabet graph. I have a PHD in linguistics btw. I'm just trying to reach out a hand to a fellow scientist let you know that PHD you have is short hand for Photon degree and their are 2 systems at hand here. How is the English language missing sounds? Who took them? And why? How were they taken? Did English ever have these sounds, like in the distant past? Do any languages on Earth have these sounds? Please explain.

This appears to be another simple case of internet soapboxitis suffered by fervent religious believers and other social misfits who need to communicate on their own terms in order to maintain their fragile self integrity. Such characters are shunned in 'real life' and fish on the internet to see if they can 'get a bite'. We see them come and go on a regular basis, touting their snake oil from forum to forum. The irony is of course that the intellectual development of technology which services their need is antithetical to their own idiosyncratic mode of thinking.

I'm not convinced any human brain ever gets very far from the shores of insanity. But some are clearly wading in a bit deeper than others.
