Tiger Lily
She slips beneath a wave of conscious
Apparition, a subtle burst of gamma energy -
As if a far-flung sun ignited supernova,
Before cave wall scribbles and mastodons -
That message is arriving now.
Multiplexed and multitasked,
Filaments of thought mask subtle shifts of context -
Bright and shining at the source, transmitted
Through the atmospheric medium - received
And reconstructed, however,
Not appearing faithful to intent.
(Adam and Eve):
I walked across__________I walked across
The frozen threshold______The freshly fallen snow
The skies alight__________The moon illuminated
I espied Jupiter and_______Rabbit trails and habitats
Became beholden_________Barren branches thrusting out
Around in orbit___________In solemn prayer
And my allegiance________And their embrace
And my affection_________And their invitation
Swirling in her clouds______Of the swirling clouds
Below__________________Above
The mountains may appear majestic, or
Impose obstacles to progression -
The clouds may bring destruction
And simultaneous renewal -
The world may thus consume itself in revelation,
As is written in the end, just to witness in the dawn -
The blossom of a tiger lily,
Born again.
This is left to you.
