When Hulk Hogan, The Rock and Steve Austin each inhabited the ring at WM30, the idea was the value of simultaneous presence. The value of co-existence.
The same as when a famous person visits this or that city, or town, or when life on Earth encounters extra-terrestrial life.
Why do we value presence? Is it genuine, or is it a political need, designed to help hierarchy be retained onto?
@Thomas33,
Tom I don't know about the philo techs but cojldn't one write a book defining and otherwise discussing the term
@Thomas33,
the state or fact of existing, occurring, or being present in a place or thing.
@Thomas33,
If you can answer why Trump is so popular, you may get a speck of knowledge.
@Thomas33,
Do you mean in the non-ontological sense? If so, I think 'presence' is a projection of admiration. An emotional response that might be called adulation due to the admiration of certain qualities that, in the projecting person's perception, make the adulated person stand out from others. Can be good or bad. Hitler had presence for a lot of people. So did Ghandi..
I think this is real as it this comes from the fact that we are hierarchal creatures and so are primed to think/behave in this way..
@catbeasy,
I'm intrigued by pattern. How the same person can garner millions of people to admire them.
@Thomas33,
Isn't that true of all art forms? That we can appreciate the beauty of nature is a blessing for our species. I am amazed at the skill of the artists from so many centuries ago.
Here's a good example.

@Thomas33,
Are you valuing input on this topic ? Or is it a political need from you designed to help hierarchy be retained onto ?...
Yeah presence is done by access to information exchange through communication...brains in a vacuum are jobless.
