Please help with Search Sidebar HiJack

Reply Thu 9 Sep, 2004 07:51 pm
Okay, here's my HJT log. I just want my search sidebar back.

When I log into IE, and click "search" I am supposed to get a search side bar with MSN at the top. Instead I get a sidebar that says g.msn cannot be found. Also won't let me use the Google search on homepage, CNN home page, or any other page that has a Google search button.

Please help.

Craven - Didn't want to call until I know you are up...

My search is still not working. Worked once and then went back to "We Can't Find "search.findwhatevernow.com"

HJT is not showing g.msn.com anymore. Whatever it is is not being caught by Adaware or Spybot S&D. Both say 0 problems. Both are updated.

However, I'm wondering... in HKCU\software\microsofinternetexplorer\mainsearchbar\ it says http:\g.msn.com...

Any idea what this should say? Where it should be directed?
