Can anyone help me out with this? I'm trying to convert music files with a .ram extension to .mp3 so that I can put them on my mp3 player. I'm pretty sure it's possible, but I don't know how to go about it. Easier is better, if possible, I'd rather not muck around with code.
That's a proprietary format and other software is not licensed to play them.
And BTW, you need to convert the .rm files, not the .ram files.
I detest Real Player and will not keep it on any of my puters, so I don't know if their software will do it.
But there are always options to capture the audio and encode it in another format.
Basically, you play the file, and the audio that is sent to your speakers can be sent to an encoding program.
I don't have any specific tools to recommend as I don't do this kind of audio conversion much, but you should be able to find a plethora of options if you search for "real-time recorder software".
