Whats not to dislike in the post disco-pre Nirvanna stuff that populated the world of 30 years ago.

Whats not to hate. PUT your crappy 80's sounds herein. Ill try to delete it later and all those ear worms will disappear.

@farmerman,
ha! there is a facebook challenge on right now

post 7 80's videos

I got tagged with it earlier today

I'm having great fun with it

my first offering was Steve Earle's Copperhead Road - as he first performed it and as he played it last year on Q

this is a lot of where the 80's sound was for me

@farmerman,
This highlights that I pretty much missed the eighties radio music - lots of school, lots of homework, full time job, change in musical tastes

@farmerman,
This highlights that I pretty much missed the eighties radio music - lots of school, lots of homework, full time jobs at the same time, all while carrying on a married life; change in musical tastes to more, um, world music, at the same time going back to classical too. I think it was the Eagles that did me in, in the course of the seventies, setting up my lack of radio interest for the eighties and beyond. Well, there were a few stations I liked, more exploratory stuff.

I'll still tune in here though, and probably keep my typing fingers quiet.

He did not to stop you from speaking.

It's true, he is not a know it all, but he knows a lot, and can talk about the differences.

Tell us how he is keeping you from speaking.

@ossobuco,
thanks osso. I must have angered him/her.
Just So we all know, Whenever one of these threads about music is started, we usually would like to see people make contributions by posting a you tube or another format hunk of music.(If a thread gets enough songs posted, you can use the playlist and load it onto a MP3 or (I use a Bose wifi radio and give it a separate channel).
As far as this thread,, I post whenever I feel I have a crappy song to share. If you dont like that methodology, might I suggest one of the following;

1either post some of your own song hits that you consider crappy 80's music

2 Go somewhere else

THINK of me as a host of a call-in REQUESTS ONLY) music show

That is complicated for me.

You have no comprehension of what I deal with with an antique computer, **** you. I have dealt with this for years.

Adding my view, I did it, what ever it was.

Aha were pretty crappy.

Ska is like the musical version of ketchup, it can even make a crappy song like Take On Me sound good. Not just good, but bloody brilliant!

You biteth your tongue! I blame my current taste in inscrutable, melancholic, (often bordering on hipster) music to the progressive rock bands of the late 70s and the entireties of the 80s.
