Microsoft Messenger Question #1

Reply Wed 22 Jan, 2003 12:25 pm
My old computer worked just fine and I just had to go and buy a new one!

My kids are both signed on to MSN Messenger, as am I. Though they rarely use my computer, I activated their accounts. My son's was first, so now his address is the default and anyone else has to log on as another user. How can I change the default user?

i think this will do it, i had to do the same thing for the same reason.
go to messenger and open it, click on tools, then options, then accts.
see whose acct shows and change it if it's not the one you want. then hit ok.
hope that works.

mikey, you sent me to the right place. NET Passport was clicked and not Communications Service, so I clicked on Communications Service and ... voila! Thanks.

If you have Windows XP you can also define a net password for each windows user account.
