The Printscreen function?how can i capture images from DVD m

i am trying to capture an image from a DVD movie. the only way that i know is use to the Printscreen button. then paste to photoshop program.

however, it seems that i can't save the actual picture at all.

so how can i capture images from DVD movies?

You need to press ALT+PrintScreeen together then paste the pic in paint for example

I understood that to capture images from a DVD you would need a video card & video editing software, but I may be mistaken. See what else gets posted.

i am not talking about capture the whole dvd. i just want to take one pic.

what is the diff. b/w simply pressing printscreen and alt + printscreen?

Lots of DVD player for PC, such as PowerDVD or WinDVD, has a screen capture function.
For the first program there's a button with the image of a photocamera, you have to tell the program how you want to save the screenshot, if in the clipboard or save it as bmp.

I think that one will copy the whole screen (including taskbar, clock etc), and the other will copy only the active window (the one 'at the front'). Try an experiment, and also try Ctrl+PrintScreen in case that helps.
