In my new apartment I am recieving a weak wireless signal from cable. I'm wondering, if I had multiple USB recievers, could I pick up more of the signal for a faster connection? Is bandwidth cumulative like this? Or if I got DSL/cable of my own, could I still add on the bandwidth that I recieve through wireless? I'd like to understand how this works.

It doesn't work in the way you seem to be envisioning it. You'd need multiple network connections, not receivers.

And then you'd need to configure software to take advantage of it (most likely, not possible with the software you use).

Would multiple connections increase the maximum top download speed or would they just allow me to use more bandwidth?

Also, can you explain how bandwidth/connections are handled, so that I may understand why it works this way?
