Are there people in Finland that are against learning English?

How do you know that in 24 years so many languages will be dead?

Depending how you count there is between 3 000 to 8 000 languages.
Sometimes the line between dialect and language is thin. There are other things too like geogrphy, politics and religion
There is a list of the languages in the world and one count on 6 500 living languages. For 6 ooo of them 52% is spoken by less than 10 000, 28% less than 1000.
So you really think that of the rest 40% there will only be a dozen in 24 years.?

40% is wrwong. Of 6 500 languages 1 800 are spoken by over 10 000 people and you think within 24 years that sum will only be a dozen
