While playing computer games my laptop has been restarting randomly. The following are my pcs specs;
2.7Ghz
512 mb ddr
40GB
128 mb Radeon 9000
I was playing Unreal Tournament 2004, and Battlefield 1942[not simultaneously though]. I was told that the issue might be the video driver, where should I get the appropriate drive for my video card? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you
Got your PM.
I may (or may not) be able to help, but I need to know if you are getting any error messages with the reboot.
As to your driver question we need to know what Operating System you use.
Windows XP Home. I will play Unreal or Battlefield until it crashes, then I will take a picture using printscreen.
Thanks, but the games which caused the problem were not listed. Should I get this driver;

I played Battlefield, and it crashed. I pressed the print screen button but it didnt copy it, it pretty much said that something wasn't properly installed, and it mentioned clearing memory or something to that affect sorry its in french. After purchasing my laptop I installed extra memory, the person who installed it simply put it in, and said I didnt need to install anything could the new memory stick be the issue?
How much free harddrive space do you have?
As to the driver, you can give it a try and rollback to the previous driver if it does not work.
I have 23.5 GB of free space
Im also installing SP1a is that advisable, since I dont even have SP1 since its a new laptop
