@farmerman,
I know that J. Carrol Naish show we watched it as a family..circa 1960-1961.
I'll come up with it in a minute. Good shows

I have to add F Troop to my ever-expanding list. I still can watch it and crack up.

Oh crap...what about Green Acres? I still watch that from time to time and still cracks me up. Oliver yells too much and Lisa is too dumb for words and the characters are all a bit one-dimensional but the silliness and lines are still great.

{Edit: the show was called Guestward Ho! with Joanne Dru and him as 2 main leads. His character was called Hawkeye.

Trivia about Guestward Ho!
"Originally conceived as a vehicle for Vivian Vance, who shot a pilot for the show in 1958 for CBS. When CBS passed on it, Desi Arnaz retooled the show and cast Joanne Dru in the role of Babs Hooten after Dru's 1957 pilot for a Desilu show called Adventures of a Model failed to be picked up as a series. Many of the shows I enjoyed at the time are hard to watch in reruns. The Andy Griffith Show, for instance. For me, the magic is gone.

@edgarblythe,
I need to add the fabulous new one with the Indian guy from Parks and Recreation in it. Can't recall the name. Has a multi-cultural cast.

@dlowan,
Plebs is quite recent. Set in Ancient Rome, but all about 21st Century Britain. It's just finished season 3 and deals with the lives of three very ordinary Romans.

@izzythepush,
I've watched plebs. I found it ok but kind of dull.

Such is life.

@dlowan,
Each to their own. I've never seen the appeal of Friends or The Big Bang Theory, but I know those who rave about it.

@izzythepush,
I'm meh with friends but love Big Bang.

True story! I am currently using Big Bang as a way of working therapeutically with a young man's well earned distorted cognitive schema. He can't tolerate working directly with his trauma and subsequent cognitive distortions, but we CAN look at how they play out with reference to the TV show. He really identifies with Sheldon, but he thought all the others hated him...as he assumes everyone hates him. I'm doing Sheldon based therapy!

Fan of the others, too.

Happy Days, Cosby Show (don't let Cosby recent things interfere with show) - Jeffersons, Laverne and Shirley, Good Times

@jespah,
Frazer -- I still love when he grabs the scissors and runs around and says I am running with scissors (or was that on Cheers he did that)

Also love when they took lessons to learn how to ride a bike!
