hi everyone - I tried to run a hijackthis, but the site seems to be down and I got a "page cannot be displayed" message ". Virtualbouncer - a leech ---is on my machine and despite taking it out with spybot, Norton, ad-aware and spy-sweeper, it keeps reinstalling itself everytime I reboot. How do I get it out of my system? My OS is XP AAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRG!

Thank you!

1- Right -click My Computer/Properties/System Restore
Check Turn Off System Restore on All Drives then click Apply and OK

2- Click Start/Run and type regedit

Click File/Export. Type a file name and click save. This will save your Registry in case you commit an error so you can restore it back.

Now:

Navigate to:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\software\microsoft\cryptography\services

And delete a value durl if present

Then navigate to:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\uninstall
And delete a value virtual bouncer if present

Close the Registry

3- Go to C:\Documents and Settings\Your Profile\Start Menu\programs\startup
And delete a file virtual bouncer.lnk

4- Go to C:\Documents and Settings\Your Profile\Start Menu\programs
And delete a folder virtual bouncer

5- Restart your PC. Right -click My Computer/Properties/System Restore and uncheck Turn Off System Restore on All Drives click Apply and OK.

That's it
