The little icon by the name of the forum (triangle, question mark) what does it represent? And what does it mean if it's blinking?
If they blink, then there are new posts aviable.
I thought if they were orange that means it's new. So then what's the triangle and the question mark mean?
A triangle means it's a featured topic.
Question mark is a regular topic.
Exclamation mark indicates the topic is an announcement posted by an administrator or moderator.
If it's pulsating that means it's a popular topic (in other words there've been X number of replies posted to it).
If it's orange that means there've been new posts in the topic since the last time you logged in to A2K.

And then scroll all the way down to the bottom. There's a key at the bottom.
Thanks Soz...never knew where the key was..
I chose this forum but it's at the bottom of all forums... fori...fora...
Ahhh I see the light now! Thanks! I can't believe I've never paid attention to that. (Slaps forehead) Boy do I feel like a dummy. One more questions, what's a "featured" topic?
If it's featured, that affects where it shows up on the list of topics within a forum, among other things. For example, a regular (unfeatured) topic would appear under the featured topics, even if the regular topic has been replied to more recently. You can see that at work, too, if you look at the list of topics in the "Forum Help" forum. Announcements are even higher in priority.
Topics are featured by the staff if they're especially informative, interesting, etc. Basically, featuring makes 'em easier to find.
Ahhh... sozobe... monger.. you guys are a godsend..
All these many years, and the icons had never even registered on my consciousness. Oh dear. It was interesting to see them.
