inetkw.dll error message

Reply Wed 18 Aug, 2004 09:25 am
Please help. I keep getting this pop up every 5 seconds saying "Error loading C:/PROGRA~1/INTERN~3/inetkw.dll". I do not know why this began to happen but it has been going on for almost a month now. The computer seems to work fine but these are becoming annoying to the point where I can not use my computer anymore.

Here is my log file:

Hi jmontcri
See this thread Here Follow the advise for cleaning, Ad-aware,CWS and Spybot and the 2 online virus scans,
After you have completed that go Here Download the lates version of HJT.
Next
Create a folder on the C: drive called C:\HJT.
You can do this by going to My Computer (Windows key+e) then double click on C: then right click and select New then Folder and name it hjt.
Unzip HijackThis into this folder. Launch Hijack This, then press Scan, and press Save Log
Post back a fresh log to this post please

Thats quite a mess we have here, Lets get started.
First
You have a Peper Trojan
Go here and run the The Removal Tool
. You must be connected to the internet for it to work.
Close all open windows then run it. It will run in a flash so don't think it hasn't worked!
Reboot

Please restart HJT put a check next to the following, close all open windows and click "Fix Checked"

I think its fixed!
I have just restarted my computer after all that work and I am pretty sure you fixed the problem! So far I have not seen that incredibly annoying error message for inetkw.dll.

Here is a new copy of Hijack this to see if you see anything else.

Check your Anti virus for updates, Also check Ad-aware and spybot for updates as well, " Don't run them yet"

Reboot to safe mode, and run a full system scan with your Anti Virus, Ad-aware and spybot Have them fix everything they find,

While still in safe mode,

Please restart HJT put a check next to the following if they still exist, close all open windows and click "Fix Checked"
