I have a domain name, and it gets the website from another domain
i.e.
http://www.domain.co.uk website at
http://from.here.com
the thing is i need people to think that they are at
http://www.domain.co.uk an would like the to be displayed in address bar, I saw someone say to read
http://www.engelschall.com/pw/apache/rewriteguide/ but it went a bit over the top, could someone please tell me what i'm ment to be posting where?
offhand - you could use a giant frame. Then it will never change from the url of the frame.
I can't remember if htaccess can cloak to a seperate domain name, but I know it can hide the url of anything within a specific folder at the other site. keeping your url up on top (ie make mydomain appear with anotherdomain/stuff's content)
if that's the case - let me know the other folder location and I'll give you the code for it. If not - think about the giant frame idea, which is commonly used and isn't considered a redirect.
I'm out for the day - but will check in when I get back.
HydrouK,
From what you describe you probably don't have mod_rewrite available to you.
It sounds like a domain routing to a free host. Is that correct?
It is being directed to a server I rent part of.
I will try the big frame ideam I have used this for other sites, It just going to be an pain
Do you lift your cloaking and THEN attack a Federation Starship?
So you guys are like Romulans???
