After booting my systerm CPU useage is running at 100%, there applications open and system is using almost all of the 100%
How can I figure out why the system is running at 100%,
The computer is a lap top HP Pavilion ze4800, with 256 MEG factory installed, and 512 MEG self installed.
This morning when booting near my wireless router everthing was fine. This after noon, booting and not connected to the internet the system.
I run Norton Internet Security and Spy Bot, A virus scan was run yesterday, and so was spy bot.
While disconected from the internet and no where near a wireless connector, I turned off Norton Internet Security and Norton Anti-Virus.
Anyone have any ideas that may help?
Thanks.
JTF
Open Task Manager by pressing Ctrl+Alt+Del
Then click Processes and under CPU item, see which application is monopolizing your CPU.
The application that is using all the CPU is
System
It is a 216 K application
The problem may have been with the battery.
Unpluging the battery, and restarting the computer the problem went away.
