Allah - the true God?

@Setanta,
Yes, the 'principle of mediocrity' is pretty widespread among intellectuals today. It flies in the face of what we actually know (we are alone in the universe as far as we know) but that does not give them pause at all. We'll find intelligent life out there any day now they say. NASA says within a decade.
You and I are not too old to see that prediction fulfilled or go down in flames.
Are you a punter?

Don't try to hang your bogus memes on me. Mediocrity is as meaningless to the human condition as is exceptionalism.

@Setanta,
It's not mine. From Wikipedia:

Quote:
The mediocrity principle is the philosophical notion that "if an item is drawn at random from one of several sets or categories, it's likelier to come from the most numerous category than from any one of the less numerous categories".[1] The principle has been taken to suggest that there is nothing very unusual about the evolution of the Solar System, Earth's history, the evolution of biological complexity, human evolution, or any one nation. It is a heuristic in the vein of the Copernican principle, and is sometimes used as a philosophical statement about the place of humanity. The idea is to assume mediocrity, rather than starting with the assumption that a phenomenon is special, privileged, exceptional, or even superior.[2][3]

No, Wikipedia did not post in this thread accusing me of partaking of a meme allegedly popular among "intellectuals" these days. You are one truly dishonest s.o.b.. And your mental processes are defective, as well.

This is part and parcel of what passes for rhetoric at your house. I return to my original point. It is a silly conceit of the religious that mankind is somehow a special thing, endowed by their magic sky daddy with intense significance. It's bullsh*t.

What verses in the Qur'an where it says that Allah is omniscient? Does he know when Jesus was born? How about you, do you know?
What verse in the Bible says that Jesus' father is omniscient? Omniscience implies necessity. An omniscient god would have known prior to man's creation all the misery humans have experienced. He, therefore, would be the cause of it.

Be careful what words you use to define the true God.

@neologist,
John 16:13 states: "and he will show you things to come". This means, the Spirit of truth or Comforter or Holy Ghost will prophesy. He is omniscient. That is what the spirit of Ama give to us (plural) on the early morning of 12-23 every year before year 2000.

We have free will. We can do whatever we would like to do in our life. The true God will settle account with us on Judgment Day.

@peacecrusader888,
When is this Judgement Day coming? Religious people predicted the second coming many times, and it didn't happen. Do you have a crystal ball? Or better yet, what does the bible say?

@peacecrusader888,
God is under no more compulsion to look into your future than you or I have to read the last page of the whodunnit.

He can know.
He is not forced to know.

@neologist,
Although his Son said his Father (and only his father) did know the 'return date'. Not to be confused with Judgement Day which apparently comes somewhat later.

@cicerone imposter,
Although the discussion about the "Second Coming of Jesus" is far from the subject being discussed, I will briefly answer you.

According to the spirit of Ama, God is reducing people now. The 144,000 redeemed from the earth (Revelation 14:3) will be returned to earth. They will be born into new parents. The returnees will multiply while Satan will be imprisoned (Revelation 20:2). After a thousand years, Satan will be released (Revelation 20:7) to test the descendants of the elect, and the elect, and Satan will be here for a little season (Revelation 20:3), maybe about 500 years. I guess the end of the world maybe about AD 3700.

@Leadfoot,
Well yeah, the (fragile) consensus is that Jesus was born a few years "before Christ". Hence my phrase: "a few years before Himself".
