Made-up country film 'wins award'
A film about a country that does not exist and where people speak a made-up language has won a competition for short films in Australia.
ABC News Online says Krojlnc won Northern Territory's Fist Full of Films award.
The five minute film, whose title means 'taken' according to its maker, beat 54 other entries to win the prize at Darwin's Deckchair Cinema.
Its director Yoris Wilson says it is an attempt to address stereotypes people have about foreign language films.
He said: "A lot of people in Darwin know the work that we often do, which is mostly comedy.
"We thought, let's make something quite dark but put a strange twist to it. Let's make it in a language that doesn't exist and see how many people you can suck into it."
I thought all Oz films were set in a made up land where they speak a made up language. Haven't you ever seen "Welcome to Woop Woop?" Or "The 2000 Olympic Games?" Strange goings-on there.
