Jespah, I should note that the image that you posted (2 years ago!) can come, in an A2K post, in place of a posted image link between [ img ] and [ /img ] tags, where the site where the image was hosted has decided to block 'hot linking'. You can find many images on the web, where you can just include the link in between tags, and everything is groovy. They stay visible to persons browsing the A2K thread, for as long as the web site is up and the image is present on that site. Hot linking eats up the bandwidth of the web site where the image is hosted, and some owners don't like it and prevent the images being served up. One way around this is to host the image using an Imgur, Photobucket, etc account. I used to use Photobucket for exactly this purpose, but recently, due to a change in their terms and conditions, you have to have to premium (paid-for) account to do this. All existing image links that used to show pictures now show an image of the type you showed. I could remove this by paying for a premium Photobucket account, but have chosen to switch to ImgBox which is free and simple to use. In many cases, there is nothing sinister about such a "no hotlinking" image.
