They say E=mc2.

If there is no speed beyond the speed of light, how then can we achieve
c2 (the speed of light squared?).

Is the speed of light the 'treshold of the real?'

What could be beyond the speed of light?

"c2" isn't a speed, it's a number.

joe, morpheus has a good point here, why dont you ever give a real answer instead of knocking the way he asked the question?

TACHYONS

Not at all "Beyond the threshold of the real", merely beyond the current threshold of observability, according to the math.

What could go faster than the speed of light? Complete darkness.
Yeah, Joe. Get serious.

Are you suggesting that my answer was not correct?

NO, im suggesting that you give a more in depth answer.

How much more in depth do I need to be? Morpheus, starting from the Einsteinian equation "E=mc2," asked how could anyone achieve "c2" if the fastest speed is "c." The answer is ridiculously simple: in the equation, "c2" isn't a speed, it's a number. What else need be added?

Morpheus,

The equation does not imply something needs to go faster than the speed of light.

It is simply using the speed of light as a number that needs to be squared to solve the equation.

If it was E=M(10 miles per hour)squared

This doesn't mean something needs to travel 100 mph. It simply means to multipy M X 100.
