Help with this riddle...please :)

I'm stumped, can any of y'all help me out?

My second surely follows my first,
As plain as you can see,
But my third comes right before my second,
Confusing as that might be.
And my fourth lies directly after my second,
Yet not in position three --
But what of my fifth and sixth, you ask?
Why, that's just between you and me.
