Another Computer Question

There is a local music forum and I can't log in. It won't allow me to access the register page.

I emailed them about it and they answered back that I should disable my firewall, register and log in and then turn my firewall back on. I know this to be a reliable local site, so I'm not concerned about any monkey business, but two questions.

1. Is this a good idea, even for just the couple of minutes it takes to do?

2. How do I do it? What are the mechanics of it?

Thanks

Nope, the Firewall has nothing to do with that.

Do you configure your Browser to allow cookies? Perhaps also third party cookies?

May be your Firewall has a setting that prohibit any cookie on your PC.
Zone Alarm has this option in Privacy settings.
