I applied for Spain Visa. I choose that the courier bring my passport back to me and paid for it. Now I got call that there is exceptional case and I have to go and pick my passport and need to sign something. Is that a good signal or a bad signal? Maybe I dont get the Visa?

@Tes yeux noirs,
I just worry because I cant go there before next week. Thats why I choose the possibility to send it to me by courier.

@Steffinchen,
Why not call them and tell them when you will be able to get there?

@Steffinchen,
Is this a work or student visa? For student visas you need to apply in person.

@engineer,
From 1 October 2015 onwards, all short-stay visa applicants have to appear in person when lodging the application, in order to provide their fingerprints.
Reason: as from 1 October 2015, the Spanish Embassy is using the Visa Information System (VIS), a central database for the exchange of data on short-stay visas (for stays up to 90 days in any 180-day period) between Schengen States.
