I recently read an article, probably on Netscape or in the news in the last month, that suggested women would select "hunks" for one-night stands, etc. but "skinny" men as long-term marriage material. Less likely to run off etc. It was some sociology stuff and pretty serious as I recall. I say serious but, well, you know!
Now, I'm not interested in people's points of views or preferences - all I want is the source of the article or the original research - anybody remember it? I'd love to be able to cite it at some point.
I'll have a look for it for you, Ste. Was it in a sociological paper, or just in the general news?
Isn't there such a thing a skinny hunk?
What happens to those poor bastards?
i remember reading that too, it might have been here on a2k
Here it is kiddies, I got lucky on the Romance advice web site...

As for the skinny hunks, you'd think life would be grand. Oh no. Worst of both worlds. No one-night stands, no LTRs.
That was an interesting article, Ste. What a brave new world it is in which we live.
(As for skinny hunks, I'm sure that there is a market for them. There seems to be a niche for everything.)
