I've found this site full of very knowledged citizens, so I think this would be the correct place to ask. I'm getting extremely agitated with this Backdoor.Trojan error that won't stop popping up from Norton Anti-Virus. I'm trying to keep my parents from seeing we have a virus, because I don't feel like being blamed and grounded from the computer. I've been having tons of problems with Spyware and browser hijackers, and I've downloaded 5+ programs to stop it, which never works. I suddenly get home today, to find an error saying I now have a Backdoor Trojan... The file infect is kbdj.dll in my System32 folder. I turned off Restore, restarted in safe mode, and couldn't find the file to delete. It was invisible, but I had all invisible files showing. I've had an error for kbdj.dll and KBDJ.dll (one in caps, one not). I really am getting mad, and hope to God I don't screw up another of my parents' computers... I beg for help, and appreciate any time given to me.

Restart in safe mode and run Norton. It will be able to locate and delete your trojan.

Did that, no cure. Smile Error still pops up 20 times every time I open a program. When I run Norton, though, it doesn't find the virus.

God... I really can't get rid of it, and none of my friends are giving me bright ideas... Wow, once again, I screw up my family's computer...

If you follow these instructions you can solve it:

http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/backdoor.trojan.html

Pay attention to the details, repeat steps if you are unsure you did them correctly.

Don't skip steps.

If you need help with it, ask.

OK, thanks all. I might just reformat to resolve this, though...

Edit: Craven, I forgot to say, I've already seen those steps numerous ammounts of times, but it won't solve anything. Full System Scan won't find the virus in nor out of safe mode...
