Small but nuisancy cursor problem

Reply Fri 23 Jul, 2004 06:09 pm
A couple of weeks ago the cursor, and the vertical line which indicates place changed The vertical line now has a small serif at the top, pointing to the right, and what should be an arrow is a bar with crossbars at top and bottom. Rolling Eyes

How can I go back to the old shapes?

BTW, this applies only to email and posting things here. Confused

go to Control Panel
go to Mouse
hit the Pointers tab -- you can change your cursors there...

Small but nuisancy
Unfortunately, the Control Panel cursor settings don't apply to email and other Internet stuff. Rolling Eyes

I wonder if these are the default (or only) settings for MSN 9?

Small but nuisancy cursor problem
Well, I have found out more about the cursor, and realize that the "beam" shape is standard. But I need information about the plain vertical line or insertion point. How can I get that back to a plain line instead of the vertical line with a head serif pointing to the right?

Mouse on the Control Panel gives all kinds of mouse/cursor options, but nowhere can I find out about the insertion point.

Again, the problem only appears when writing on the Internet, as email, or order forms, etc.

Can anyone help?
