This is one of the most powerful statements ever made. It virtually silenced the Skeptics. They were never able to negate it.
It is however one of those kind of things that it is easy to misinterpret or more specifically, only see the superficial meaning while missing the deeper implications.
Welcome Grieg. I for one would love to hear about the deeper meaning of this famous quote.

a) In the very act of denying my existence I must affirm or presuppose it.
b) Doubt becomes self-canceling; human thought in grounded in an indubitable (necessary, certain) truth.
Think about this in light of the Skeptics belief that we cannot know anything with certainty i.e. we can be deceived.
