Spybot and Ad-aware are not pop-up blockers. They are tools to find and remove spyware on you computer. For a good pop-up blocker, which is what you really need, why not download the A2K toolbar? It's free even. Smile

Funny. Using the A2K toolbar to block pop-ups, when the only place I get pop-ups (on this puter, and Setanta's) is A2K.

If your problem is spyware then no popup blocker is the solution, but rather removal of the spyware.

You should post a hijackthis log if you need help with that.

We don't use popup advertising.

That's fine, but the reality is ... I get pop-ups when I'm at A2K. <shrug> I accept it as part of the routine.

Then you might want to check for spyware, I'd not just accept that.

Yeah, just a note for ehBeth, when I am on my parents computer (they're out of town, I pop in to check the place out), I get nasty popups from GAIN while browsing here. They have no spyware tools. I do, and never get popups on A2K when on my own computer.

Checkout PestPatrol, It finds what AdAware misses, I can,t fault it. (www.pestpatrol.com) Also try Avant Browser, its a facelift for IE, it has a great popup blocker, and its free!
Very Happy

Ouch Cav, GAIN is one of the most notorious ones.
