Are not to the sages of old,
From metaphor of quietly thinking
To youth's gentle touches of bold.
For all those who seek and surrender,
We only know this,
Gentle friends,
We're just a piece in a puzzle
In verses that never shall end.
Philosophy? Yes, it does comfort
Until we look ending in face,
And then we are all of one color,
And all in the canter of pace.
Dedicated to those who did seek on my thread of poetry and philosophy..........
That's beautiful, Letty, despite the harshness of reality (or maybe in face of our own poignancy.) Did you think about writing this before the poetry and philosophy thread?
Good morning, drom. No, This was a creation after the philosophy thread. I'm glad you liked it, my friend. I enjoyed your aside, too.
I think that's a wonderful piece, Letty. One of your better efforts, even.
Well, edgar. Coming from you I am quite touched. You feeling better today?
I feel well enough to go to the job tomorrow. They like me to be as energetic as a lad of eighteen, but will have to settle for about forty or fifty for a week or so.
Letty, how beautifully you expressed the thought that at the end, we're all as one.
