A Touch Of Another Kind
Many are the demons the man has tamed
High are the mountains he has climbed
Down into depths of dark places unnamed
Searching for a love he cannot find
Longing for a touch of another kind
Her silken hair falls across her face
While her eyes stare deep into his own
Reminding him of some far off place
Of other times and loves he's known
Of a time when he wasn't so alone
He feels her warmth as she holds him close
Though his heart is chilled from fright
Her touch is nothing but a poisoned dose
A temporary peace on a desperate night
Fading come morning's first hint of light
She's another woman but it's the same old sin
Passion erupting with their bodies entwined
Once more he succumbs to the urges within
But he's left searching for what he cannot find
He's longing for a touch of another kind
Welcome to A2K, apoeticinjustice (love that handle)
Very powerful poem and extremely vivid. Hope to see more of your creations here.
Thanks Letty
