I don't think I have ever had a pukka, home made macaroni cheese.

I had the Heinz tinned stuff once, and wasn't too impressed.

Does anyone else remember the Movie "Harvey". Jimmy Stewart played Elwood P. Dowd, an eccentric with a good pal Harvey, Harvey was a pooka, a benign but mischievous creature from Celtic mythology. The film was released in 1950 and is still one of the best movies I have ever seen. It makes me laugh just to think about it.

@glitterbag,
Yeah. When I read "pukka" that's the first thing I thought of.

They made a remake of that with Jimmy Stewart when he was older.

It was interesting, instead of coming across as a complete tosspot and looney, it was assumed some part of the issue was dementia....as well as being a tosspot and a looney. Cool

A cool take on it.

heh, I see Madylne Kahn in this as a nurse....

@chai2,
We went for a drive today and stopped for lunch. The waiter told us one of the lunch specials today was a jalapeno, bacon and shrimp Mac & Cheese. Well of course Alex Martin immediately wants it. I told him he couldn’t have it because of the jalapeno but that I would order it and let him taste it. He took one little bite and didn’t care for it at all. I on the other hand thought it was delicious.

@farmerman,
Spaetzle, that's what it's called.....my daughter's favorite!
We use Gruyere cheese and bake it for 10/15 min in the oven and then
add roasted onions on top. So delicious!

@CalamityJane,
I love spaetzle, that wasnt spaetzle. Spaetzle celebrates the noodle , not wallpapr paste.
