Whimsical, welcome to A2K. Lotta Brits here. I always thought that a rebus had pictures also.

Wild guess. I have but one life.

If you take out the word WOLF you are left with woo 1. No wonder I couldn't see it.

What's woo 1?

Letty, what Whim is saying is the answer to the rebus is:

1 WOLF in wool = a wolf in sheeps clothing O.K.

but if you take the capital letters they spell WOLF but that only leaves behind woo 1 i.e. woo and a figure 1, if the figure 1 had been a lower case "l" the riddle would have made sense because it would then have read WOLF (in) wool.

Is that clearer?

Oh, yes, Don. I understand that. I just thought that you were saying the answer was woo1.

Sooooo. we remove the wolf and have woo1; thus,the answer could not be wool. I'll check it out.

I didn't mean to be misleading, what I meant was that the riddle didn't make sense to me but the answer Whim gave is correct, the answer IS:

a wolf in sheeps clothing.
