Is there a way to make my dell 2650 laptop running windows XP to start up at a preset time, lets say 10:00 a.m.

The reason i am in need of this is because i was curious if the computer could start itself up and run diskdefragmenter or something along that line.

There's an Auto Shutdown but I don't think that there's an Auto Boot.

If you are on a network, you can use Wake On LAN for remote booting.

However you can use Scheduled Tasks to run a program automatically.
