I have found this in a forest in Western Germany, close to Luxembourg (a bit south of the Eifel area), it was on the surface. I am wondering what kind of mineral is it, it looks like spessartine or similar to a coloured quartz, but I can't find an exact one anywhere on the web. The rock it is on is red in the inside.

Diverse photos of the stone: https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0B2NHJydXZ0-mflpIT1VUeTZXQ3B4X1Z4VWZsWEJFX043Y0F0NUE2MEFxQUhMdDhzUmVKNE0&usp=sharing

@alovza,
Looks like it might just be brown quartz. But it's hard to say.
