4 knocks ? and some other questions

I've experienced something that i couldn't find the answer for many years

1. When I was about 15-16 I began to hear the knocking from my wood cabinet
It was always a repeated knocking for 4 times
in a constant rhythm
knock knock knock knock with about a half second pause between each knock
and then it just disappeared and there's no more knocking in the rest of the night
It always happened around 2-4 AM every night (if I remember it correctly)

I knew it wasn't my imagination because the sound even woke me up at night
It went on for almost a full week
and one night when the knock began, I just went into an extreme rage I got up from bed, turned on the light, and opened that wood cabinet
It was nothing, just a few book(comics), no rats, no bugs, no holes that anything would be able to get out or in
and since that night it hasn't happened again ever

I've heard the meaning of 3 knocks before
but what's the meaning of 4 knocks ? what does it really mean ? and who (or what) did it

2. one night I was sleeping with both of my arms under the blanket
and then i felt something....... someone's long nail scratching on my nose

I was really really sure it wasn't a bug or my mom(my parents were both asleep) I just kept acting normal and I could still feel the long nail slowly scratching its way down my nose and then it just stopped

and when I wake up in the morning. I can see the red scratching line on my nose

what was it ? and why does it scratch my nose ? if it really wanted to scare me it could do anything other than scratching my nose
and why did it do this just for one night and just simply disappeared ?

nah probably not coz he told me he would hang out with his friend that night lol

I know there's totally sane scientific answers to my question
but I really want to know superstition view on this too

there's probably logical explanation for the noise. Sometimes behind a cabinet there could be some hot water pipes or possibly wood that is expanding or contracting, making noises. The fact that it had a rhythm to it is purely coincidental.

No idea about the scratch. If I were guessing, you may have been dreaming and also scratched yourself in your sleep.

or the noise could be because of the change in temperature that make wood or other thing in the cabinet change in volume and make the friction sound or could be anything else since I haven't known all the possible factors that could make the sound happen

and about the scratch I could be too tired that night
and may woke up in the REM period of sleeping
and may be half asleep and imagine things
like many people that imagine the ghost, shadow people on their sleep paralysis

but then again
superstitious answer seems to be more fun and mysterious
I love mysteries lol

Superstitions can add nothing because they're not real - just as fairy tales are not real.

Here's the definition of the word:
"a belief or notion, not based on reason or knowledge, in or of the ominous significance of a particular thing, circumstance, occurrence, proceeding, or the like.

- irrational fear of what is unknown or mysterious, especially in connection with religion.

- any blindly accepted belief or notion. "

yes

but I sometimes like to decorate something I experience with fairytale
It's just like creating a fictional movie inspired by certain situation
even though you already know that in reality the situation is actually not that fictional itself

I have no fear, believe or acceptance toward superstition

sometimes it's just like when people play along with their children about Santa Claus and sometimes they really want to know how would their children interpret information about Santa Claus
and thinking about it is kinda fun even though they know Santa Claus doesn't exist

I can honestly say that I don't actually believe in superstition
but I just love to hear about it

very late but I noticed there's not many actual answers to this question. I don't know the meaning of four knocks either. I'm 16 and I've always been highly spiritually charged and I've had some ghost encounters. They were always at night though, and a few minutes ago I heard the exact same four knocks on my bedroom door with a half second between sets. It's two pm. I thought it was my grandfather or my mother, in fact my dog jumped up and started barking at the door. I asked who it was as my hand touched the knob and there was no answer, just more knocking. I opened the door and nobody was there, nobody was anywhere to be found. I got instant chills and my heart started burning and I felt nauseous. I went back in after a few minutes and I heard a fizzling sound beside me so I've moved to camp out in the living room tonight. not sure what it is or what it wants or what the four knocks mean but I think I'll keep my distance for now.

When i was about 15 -16 years of age i was sleeping in my bedroon which was next to garage wall. Right around 1:00 - 1:30 am i heard 3 or 4 loud bangs on my bedroom wall which is the wall that goes to the garage and at that time my mother and brother ask me what was that banging and i said i dont know it come from the inside of the garage. My entire family got up my two brothers, sisters, mother and myself all fully armed heading to the front garage door since that the only way in. I turned on the light swith from outside the garage door popped the garage open and there was nothing. ...im 50 years old as of today 1 -28 - 19 and i still think about that day and always wondered what the hell it was... There is no reasonable explanation for what my family and i heard that day....nothing of that ever happened again but a few years later my sister woke all of us up sreaming saying something just sat by her feet on the couch and as soon as we got there we all noticed a impression of some sort next to her feet on the blanket....Other than that nothing bad ever happened again at that house....There was no animal, it was a single story house, no duct work for animal to crawl in.....nothing? ????
