A friend recently installed a new modem on his PC. He is using Windows 98. His modem apparently was installed on Com 2, due to space, and when he trys to connect to the internet his system trys connecting to Com 1. How can he switch this and have it connect using the modem on Com 2? Thank you.

If you are using an internal modem, the port can't be changed.
Look for a possible IRQ conflict.
