Skype for Androids

I typically will enter many Contacts in Skype which only have a phone number (on my Desktop version of Skype). In other words these contacts are not 'Skypers'. It is just a phone number.
It is very handy for just making regular phone calls to landline/mobile numbers.
In the Desktop View, there is a 'Search' box, and I just begin to type in text and all of those previously saved Contacts (that just have the phone numbers) appears, so I can just Click the contact and make the call.
I just got the App for my new Android, and there is No Search feature that includes the Contacts with just the Phone numbers.
the only Search feature available seems to only find Skype members.
anyone else run into this / have a solution etc...
