This helped me from an Ask Marvin post
Restart HijackThis and tick the box next to these items then click on 'fix checked':

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [inetmgr] C:\PROGRA~1\INTERN~2\inetmgr.exe
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [cpntmgc] C:\WINDOWS\winmgts\winmgts.exe

Make sure you have Set Windows to show Hidden Files & Folders, then reboot intosafe mode then find and delete the following in bold:

C:\WINDOWS\winmgts
C:\PROGRA~1\INTERN~2\inetmgr.exe

Reboot, then run GFI's TrojanScan.com

Post back with a fresh log when you're finished and tell us if you are still having problems.

Restart HijackThis and put checks next to the following, close all browser windows (including this one) then click on 'Fix Checked':

Download About:Buster from either of the following locations:

http://www.atribune.org/downloads/AboutBuster.zip
or
http://tools.zerosrealm.com/AboutBuster.zip

Make sure you have closed ALL Internet Explorer windows. This
is a very important step!!

Run AboutBuster.exe, click ok, then start, then
OK. This will scan your computer for the files responsible for
hijacking your home and/or search settings/page.

Reboot and post a new HijackThis log along with the report from About:Buster.

girlfaron, anyone is welcome to comment on anything, of course, but if you have nothing of your own to contribute, please don't borrow stuff you don't understand from other folks who have the skills, knowledge, experience, and patience to actually help. Perhaps you meant well, but the info you lifted from that earlier response dealt with an entirely different problem, and has no application to the current fix proposal.
