Heard on my car radio yesterday & I thought: What a good song! Very Happy Still hearing replays in my head today:

Well I don't know why I came here tonight
I got the feeling that something ain't right
I'm so scared in case I fall off my chair
And I'm wondering how I'll get down the stairs
Clowns to the left of me
Jokers to the right, here I am
Stuck in the middle with you

Yes I'm stuck in the middle with you
And I'm wondering what it is I should do
It's so hard to keep this smile from my face
Losing control, yeah, I'm all over the place
Clowns to the left of me, Jokers to the right
Here I am, stuck in the middle with you

Well you started out with nothing
And you're proud that you're a self made man
And your friends, they all come crawlin
Slap you on the back and say
Please.... Please.....

Trying to make some sense of it all
But I can see that it makes no sense at all
Is it cool to go to sleep on the floor
'Cause I don't think that I can take anymore
Clowns to the left of me, Jokers to the right
Here I am, stuck in the middle with you

Well you started out with nothing
And you're proud that you're a self made man
And your friends, they all come crawlin
Slap you on the back and say
Please.... Please.....

Well I don't know why I came here tonight
I got the feeling that something ain't right
I'm so scared in case I fall off my chair
And I'm wondering how I'll get down the stairs
Clowns to the left of me
Jokers to the right, here I am
Stuck in the middle with you,
Yes I'm stuck in the middle with you
Stuck in the middle with you

I have lots of snippets from lots of different songs.. that tend to merge together.

"This is the world we live in.. ooOOO.. these are the bla bla we're given..

something something something.. etc."

Then I forget the words.. & I sing the wrong words very badly. Tadaa!

Sunshine on my shoulders makes me happy
Sunshine in my eyes can make me cry
Sunshine on the water looks so lovely
Sunshine almost always makes me high

If I had a day that I could give you
I'd give to you a day just like today
If I had a song that I could sing for you
I'd sing a song to make you feel this way

Sunshine on my shoulders makes me happy
Sunshine in my eyes can make me cry
Sunshine on the water looks so lovely
Sunshine almost always makes me high

If I had a tale that I could tell you
I'd tell a tale sure to make you smile
If I had a wish that I could wish for you
I'd make a wish for sunshine all the while

Sunshine on my shoulders makes me happy
Sunshine in my eyes can make me cry
Sunshine on the water looks so lovely
Sunshine almost always makes me high
Sunshine almost all the time makes me high
Sunshine almost always

Alicia Keys
A Womans Worth

You could buy me diamonds , you could buy me pearls
Take me on a cruise around the world
Baby you know I'm worth it
Dinner lit by candles, run my bubble bath
Make love tenderly to last and last
Baby you know I'm worth it
Wanna please wanna keep wanna treat your woman right
Not just told but to show she is worth your time
You will lose if you choose to refuse to put her first
She will if she can't find a man who knows her worth, mhmn

Cuz a real man knows a real woman when he sees her
And a real woman knows a real man ain't afraid to please her
And a real woman knows a real man always comes first
And a real man just can't deny a woman's worth

If you treat me fairly I'll give you all my goods
Treat you like a real woman should
Baby I know your worth it
If you never play me , promise not to bluff
I'll hold it down when it get's ruff
Baby I know your worth it
She rolls the mile makes you smile all the while being true
Don't take for granted the passion that she has for you
You will lose if you choose to refuse to put her first
She will if she can't find a man who knows her worth. oh

Cuz a real man knows a real woman when he sees her
And a real woman knows a real man ain't afraid to please her
And a real woman knows a real man always comes first
And a real man just can't deny a woman's worth

No need to read between the lines, spell it out for you
Just hear this song cuz you can't go wrong when you value
A woman,woman,woman, a woman's worth

Cuz a real man knows a real woman when he sees her
And a real woman knows a real man ain't fraid to please her
And a real woman knows a real man always comes first
And a real man just can't deny a woman's worth

Cuz a real man knows a real woman when he sees her
And a real woman knows a real man ain't fraid to please her
And a real woman knows a real man always comes first
And a real man just can't deny a woman's worth

Mhmn mhmn mhmn mhmn mhmn mhmn

Te morías por volver "Con la frente marchita" cantaba Gardel
Y entre citas de Borges, Evita bailaba con Freud.

Here goes:

You would die to "return with head forlorn" as Gardel sang,
Citing Borges, Evita danced with Freud.

From the stanza,

Carlos Gardel sang a song, "Volver," with the stanza,
"Volver
con la frente marchita
las nieves del tiempo
platearon mi sien."

I know that song, Volver, from my mother who listens to all of those old boleros.

Nice translation.

I've been listening to 'Mentiras Piadosas' from Sabina a lot lately.

Does anyone know the name of the singer who sang 'crying' in Mullholland Drive? Thought she was fantastic (liked the film too) I'm going to buy the DVD just for her performance. Smile

as he left thru the kitchen door one morning, Johnny turned to his wife (the 5th one maybe) and said "you feed the dogs, honey, I'll go feed the fish"

Glad to see that you're alive and well and still functioning on the Emerald Isle.

Hi Bib

try http://www.elyrics.net/

Usually I just type in song title/artist and the word 'lyrics' into google. The first page of hits usually gives you the main lyric sites. Elyrics comes up regularly.
