I..don't wanna be..."

I don't even know what he doesn't wanna be.

I think it's Jonny Lang. Sounds like him. Its on every time I check the local channel for the time...

For some reason that completely escapes me all day yesterday I had:

Last night I heard my mama singing this song;
ooh eep chirp-a-chirp-a-cheep-cheep

Going over and over. AAAAAAAAGGHHHHHH!

We'll Be Together Again:

This has been done by several groups and Rod Stewart as well. Sorry about the gap. Had to delete a bunch of superfluous stuff.

We'll Be Together Again lyrics
No tears
No fears
Remember there's always tomorrow
So what if we have to part
We'll be together again

Your kiss
Your smile
Are memories I'll treasure forever
So try thinking with your heart
We'll be together again

Times when I know you'll be lonesome
Times when I know you'll be sad
Don't let temptation surround you
Don't let the blues make you bad

Some day
Some way
We both have a lifetime before us
For parting is never goodbye
We'll be together again.

Times when I know you'll be lonesome
Times when I know you'll be sad
Don't let temptation surround you
Don't let the blues make you bad

Some day
Some way
We both have a lifetime before us
For parting is not goodbye
We'll be together again

Sounds like it could have been written for the troops going off to Europe.

panz, I suspect that song was written for the troops in WWII. Our piano player at that time,Paul,(dead now) was in the Battle of the Bulge and was awarded a silver star. He couldn't remember one bit of an entire year. I remember his having choked up when he played that song at Glade Springs Golf Resort (know where that is?). A lot of folks are now doing all the prettiest of the oldest. We have a CD of that song as done by The Four Freshmen...and Sinatra did it as well.

out on the sea, there is an island
out on the sea, there is a place
out on the sea there's a wave
with the power to save
all the sailors from the dark and the deep

we used to dance in the shadows
under the moon's pale light
away from home and all alone
turning away into the night
and she would shine like a diamond

trapped in a clear crystal ring
and the tears in my eyes
were the stars in the sky
fading away when she would sing

out on the sea, there is an island
out on the sea, there is a place
out on the sea there's a wave
with the power to save

all the sailors from the dark and the deep

I wanna go to Andora, Andora, Andora
I wanna go to Andora
It's the land that I adore ...

This song came to mind talking to similarly shell-shocked, post Oz election folk earlier today, on A2K.
What I'm trying to figure out, though, is did they spend $2:95 or $4:95 on armaments & their defence? I did a search but couldn't find it.

Have you ever heard of such CONFIDENCE!
Andora, hip hooray! Laughing

Trying to see if I can work this into a worship\praise song - for many to sing at once.

MERCYME
Here With Me

I long for your embrace
Every single day
To meet you in this place
And see you face to face

Will you show me?
Reveal yourself to me
Because of your mercy
I fall down on my knees

And I can feel your presence here with me
Suddenly I'm lost within your beauty
Caught up in the wonder of your touch
Here in this moment I surrender to your love

You're everywhere I go
I am not alone
You call me as your own
To know you and be known

You are holy
And I fall down on my knees

this morning it was Queen's 'Year of '39' which I haven't heard for years.

'All my life, still ahead, pity me.'
