Well, weeLowan bunny, don't forget that Iago spake that line, as he commenced to poison the relationship between Othello and Desdemona--having planted the fatal handkerchief . . .

Enough of your context, dog man! Causality is an illusion brought on by too much gruyére! (It is. You can look it up.)

HOOOOOOOOON!

Nothing out of the ordinary from this dog. Used to drive very fast on mountainside roads with a bedload of people. Took great pride in my ability to do such; fancied myself the Neal Cassidy of the high school set.

Not that that's a hoon, mind you. Just stupid. Hmmmmmmmmmm............

Nasty, nasty stuff -- i likes me cheese very, very bland. American style Muenster, with a slightly salty taste, if you please. The other dogs love it, as well.

Aha! Setanta! Got you! That line was spoken (quality of mercy) was, in fact, spoken by Portia in "The Merchant of Venice". The "hath not a ---" was Shylock in the same play. heeeeheeeee

Sorry - 'tis evil fun to catch such a learned one as you out!

Smooochhhhh!

Yes, you got me, although i was certain i was correct in that. I read Othello to be sure -- but i can get a little revenge on you:

Portia: The quality of mercy is not strain'd,
It droppeth as the gentle rain from heaven
Upon the place beneath . . .

So, we all make these little errors . . .

heeheeheeheeheehee

(dlowan's got a copy of the 5th folio, previously thought to be lost, in which the line does indeed contain the word <edit>falleth</edit> -- or so sayeth the prophesy. course, she usually just uses it to sit on so she can get her wee little paws up to the keyboard, and it subsequently bears some bunny bum crumbs, but it is in remarkably good condition. so endeth the lesson.)

Just found out that Washington will likely have no COLA for state workers for the second consecutive year and that the proposed University budget is ~12% lower than this year's. Glad I'm leaving.

But I digress...
