Last Thursday, I had my brown/black hair professionally bleached and dyed purple. I waited until this morning to wash it. There is no purple left in the back of my head as it has all washed out. After drying my hair, I discovered that the non-dyed hair was back to the original brown/black it had been. How did this happen? Note: I used sulfate free carotin shampoo and conditioner.
Call the salon where you got it done.
Most likely, it was a temporary rinse, meant to wash out.
@PUNKEY,
When I had it done, the stylist told me it should last a few months. Sorry for not mentioning that.
@MoonFlower,
Purple never lasts very long. You're lucky if it stays purple for more than a couple of shampoos - it usually fades out after the second shampoo and is gone within a couple of weeks. Fun while it lasts though.
In terms of washing, you've got to have dirty hair before they start colouring and then hold off washing your hair for as long as possible after the colour job.
