A girl has moved into the house of her boyfriend and his mother. One night, there's a fire, and one member of the house is killed. Another member of the house is almost killed, but is rescued by the remaining member of the house. Who died, and who was rescued, and who was the rescuer? We know that:
1. The person who was rescued was older than the person who died.
2. The rescuer and the youngest person were of different genders.
3. The rescuer was younger than the person who was rescued.
4. The girl was older than her boyfriend.
@grilledthomas,
The boy died, the girl was the rescuer, the mother was the rescued.
@grilledthomas,
Am I wrong if I say that you only can be 100% sure that the boy died?
The girlfriend can be older than the mom.
If the girlfriend is 40, the mother is 38 and the boy is 20 than this solution is incorrect.
Can you help with this:
