Dying hair over Olia color with L'Oreal preference

Hi I had previously been using L'Oreal Preference C34 light copper red and used Olia over top. The Olia color was too intense and would not wash out. I waited about a month and then tried to dye L'oreal on top. It does not seem to take color at all. Recomendations? I want to lighten the red color that the Olia left behind. What should I do? Should I use another Olia color to lighten? like a blond?

@ElaineThompson14,
Check the box of L'Oreal or Olia, there should be a phone number that will connect you with a representative who hopefully can tell you what to do. Or see a professional colorist and make sure to tell them what products you have used on your hair. Don't try to improvise, and don't ask a salesperson , make sure you talk to a licensed stylist.
