How do I cut and insert a chart that is 5 columns wide with a column width of 15.0 each under an existing chart that is 3 columns wide with a column width 25.0?

Every time I try and do it it alters the widht of the chart on the top of the page. I want the top to stay 3 columns but within the same space below have 5 columns.

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you. Question

You'll need to use merged cells to avoid Excell resizing the columns.

Set up a grid of 15 columns. Since you want a total width of 75, make the width of each cell 5.0.

For the top chart, use 3 sets of five cells merged per row using the "Merge and Center" function on the Formatting toolbar.

(Highlight five cells in a row, hit the "Merge and Center" button, and it will turn the cells into one large cell. Repeat twice more.)

For the bottom chart, use 5 sets of three merged cells.

You won't be able to cut and paste your existing charts, you'll have to start from scratch. But once you've set up the grid, you'll be able to paste within the grid so you only have to set up one row per chart and then paste as many rows as you need below them..
