How do I eliminate popups/popunder? post-spybot, adaware, cw

A couple of weeks ago, I started getting unwanted popups/popunders by yesup.com (yesadvertising). These popunders launch a new browser window that is the same as my standard IE browser window except that there is no URL line. In addition to the popups/popunders, I notice that after a while, my computer slows down noticeably.

I have been using the google toolbar popup blocker for about a year now with great results until this most recent annoyance.

I have followed precisely the instructions in post 611527, dated 3/22/04 for removing yuckware. Specifically, I have disabled system restore, searched for twain-tech and associated files (non-existent), emptied my recycle bin, updated Windows and IE, run Stinger (nothing found), run my updated Norton Anti-Virus (nothing found), run CW smartkiller, run CW shredder (nothing found, but refuses to update), run updated spybot and adaware, deleting junk that they found. Then, in safemode, run adaware (deleted 3 files) and spybot (nothing found) again, couldn't empty my Norton protected recycle bin, defragmented my C: drive, and reset my Internet settings.

Upon rebooting normally, I ran Hijack This and got the following log file. I am still getting the advertising popups/popunders. What do I do now to get rid of the yesup.com popups/popunders? Is there anything else that I can do to make my machine run more efficiently? Thanks.

O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [window.exe] C:\WINDOWS\System32\window.exe

Window.exe is a reported trojan:

http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/trojan.mitglieder.j.html

http://www.sophos.com/virusinfo/analyses/trojbaglex.html

You can do an on-line scan and find removal tools from: http://www3.ca.com/securityadvisor/virusinfo/virus.aspx?ID=38807
