Italy's court of cassation hears the case on March 25. They can either approve the convictions or send the case back for a new trial.

If they approve the convictions, then the case will be appealed to the European Court of Human Rights. However, it is likely that Italy will put Raffaele back in prison and hand his inheritance over to the Kerchers at this time.

Most likely Italy will not ask to extradite Amanda while the case is still pending before the European Court of Human Rights.

If and when they do ask for extradition, it is anyone's guess whether the US government will comply.

Rudy Guede has served enough time with his light sentence to qualify for daytime work release, however it appears that his request for this has been denied. Still, it'll only be a few more years now before his sentence has concluded. Then he'll be back out on the streets, and Karma can begin to take its toll on the young women of Italy.

There is a change.org petition asking for an investigation of the various abuses that have been committed in this case:
https://www.change.org/p/ministero-della-giustizia-of-italy-uk-foreign-commonwealth-office-and-the-us-department-of-state-please-investigate-the-activities-of-local-law-enforcement-authorities-and-consular-staff-in-the-aftermath-of-the-death-of-meredith-kercher-in-perugia-it

One interesting tangent in all this is this Alan Dershowitz character. He has spewed a number of outrageous lies about Amanda. He has also recently been accused of being part of a child sex ring along with a member of the British royal family. His comments so far about the girl who is accusing him are virtually a cut-and-paste of his lies about Amanda. This is leading people to suspect that the child sex accusations are probably true.

Meet the homophobic bigot who runs Russia state media including RT

"I think that just imposing fines on gays for homosexual propaganda among teenagers is not enough. they should be banned from donating blood, sperm. And their hearts, in case of the automobile accident, should be buried in the ground or burned as unsuitable for the continuation of life." (Applause in a television studio.)

Soon after, TV host Dmitry Kiselev was appointed by Russian President Vladimir Putin to the position of head of the new official Russian government-owned international news agency Rossiya Segodnya, a 2,300 person organization made up largely of the former RIA Novosti news agency. RT is a brand of "TV-Novosti", founded by RIA Novosti.

It really makes you wonder about the Putin sympathizers who constantly post RT on DU

Sounds sort of like gays would be well advised not to move there. Other places gays should avoid include Saudi Arabia whose princes and Emirs are constantly seen in the news with Bork Obunga kissing their asses and sucking their dicks.....

"Group-Thinking" the World into a New War
by Robert Parry | January 31, 2015 - 10:09am

If you wonder how the lethal “group think” on Iraq took shape in 2002, you might want to study what’s happening today with Ukraine. A misguided consensus has grabbed hold of Official Washington and has pulled in everyone who “matters” and tossed out almost anyone who disagrees.

Part of the problem, in both cases, has been that neocon propagandists understand that in the modern American media the personal is the political, that is, you don’t deal with the larger context of a dispute, you make it about some easily demonized figure. So, instead of understanding the complexities of Iraq, you focus on the unsavory Saddam Hussein.

This approach has been part of the neocon playbook at least since the 1980s when many of today’s leading neocons – such as Elliott Abrams and Robert Kagan – were entering government and cut their teeth as propagandists for the Reagan administration. Back then, the game was to put, say, Nicaragua’s President Daniel Ortega into the demon suit, with accusations about him wearing “designer glasses.” Later, it was Panamanian dictator Manuel Noriega and then, of course, Saddam Hussein.

Instead of Americans coming to grips with the painful history of Central America, where the U.S. government has caused much of the violence and dysfunction, or in Iraq, where Western nations don’t have clean hands either, the story was made personal – about the demonized leader – and anyone who provided a fuller context was denounced as an “Ortega apologist” or a “Noriega apologist” or a “Saddam apologist.”

One thing I've never understood is why gays feel any sort of a need to be recruiting and proselytizing in public schools if, in fact, gaiety is some sort of a genetic/inborn thing as they claim....

There's a lot of things.

They don't. Unless you consider asking to not be assaulted and insulted as proselytizing.

Held her for four years, illegally, and in criminally abusive conditions. And did the same for Raffaele.

I would imagine that she will sue for compensation in the European Court of Human Rights once all the charges against her and her family are completely dismissed.

I don't know what will happen if Italy leaves the Euro before that happens though. A billion Italian pesos might be worth only 35 cents.
